ktru’s mission is to educate
listeners through eclectic, progessive, otherwise unexposed
programming. since the broadcast media's commitment to localism
usually extends to sports, weather, and "if it bleeds it leads"
material, we attempt to focus on underrepresented Houston issues,
communities, and perspectives. so
far we've talked about science, politics, technology, history,
medicine, and faculty diversity. our show broadcasts the voices of
community and rice leaders. please
email our news director, carina, at lexusinabaskett@ktru.org,
with questions/ comments/ story ideas.
