Windows Media
If you are on recent windows computer, the easiest means to list to KTRU is by using the Windows Media Player for KTRU. If you are on a Mac, you may download Flip4Mac software that will allow you to listent to Windows Media Stream from KTRU.
Real Audio
Many computer platforms support the real audio player. KTRU audio is available to all of those using current versions of the free Real Audio Player. Visit The real audio site for a free download. You may need to look closely for the *free* player link!
MP3 Most computers can play MP3 streams with players that are already installed. This is the most universal of the web audio formats, but it is also the format that requires stations, such as KTRU to use more resources and therefore costs more to operate at multiple bandwidths. Becuase the format is widely available, we offer the MP3 stream currently at 24k so that all users, regardless of the computer they use or internet access method can listen to KTRU. We hope to offer a 64 or higher stream in MP3 format in the near future to allow MP3 listeners a choice. Again, MP3 is the most universal format available. If the Windows Media Player and Real Audio player links did not work for you, try the MP3 link!
AAC+ (AAC plus) This, we believe, is the best sounding KTRU stream available! The only way to listen to this stream is via WinAmp (Windows) and VLC (Mac).
